Thomas A. Schaefer, of Belvidere, passed away April 10, 2024. Born January 25, 1946, in Chicago, the son of Ed and Lorraine Margelewski. Tom graduated attended Lane Tech High School for 3 1/2 years and then graduated from Dundee High School in 1964. Tom married Paulette Adams in 2017.

Tom is survived by his wife, Paulette Adams Schaefer; siblings, Robert Schaefer, Kevin Margelewski, William Margelewski and Laurie Margelewski; children, Michelle Strombach, Nick Strombach and Debbie Strombach. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine, father, Edward and daughter, Tammy Strombach.
