Amber Shearer Obituary

Amber Rae Shearer, 36, of Rockford, IL, left this world unexpectedly on December 12, 2020. She was born March 3, 1984 to Gina (Dorathy) Lane and Timothy Shearer in Iowa City, IA. Amber grew up in Prophetstown, IL and graduated from Prophetstown High School in 2002. Continuing her education in Arizona, she earned an AS degree from Mohave Community College in 2012.

Amber loved to paint and draw. Her talents helped her achieve the Michelangelo Award in high school. Artistic and creative by nature, she viewed the world through a unique lens. She was free-spirited and quirky, which left you either scratching your head or laughing. Despite ongoing challenges and health conditions, Amber maintained her beautiful smile.

Survivors include her mother, Gina (Keith) Lane , MI; brothers, Kyle and Cameron Hudson, MI; maternal grandparents, Susan Kirby, IL and William (Sandy) Dorathy, IL. Amber was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Shearer, KS.
