Amy Schuppner Obituary

Amy L. Schuppner, 54 of Belvidere, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones at home. She was born August 14, 1969, in Elgin IL.-the daughter of William and Maryann (Steffes) Schuppner. Amy was a graduate of Larkin High School.

Amy was a dedicated, hardworking employee for NTN Bearing Manufacturing in Elgin, Illinois for 32 years. She loved the Chicago Cubs, anything Star Wars and Star Trek as she proudly called herself a “Trekkie”. Amy loved animals, and over the years welcomed many dogs and cats into the family. Amy loved being an aunt to Hannah (Schuppner) Calow, and Gavin Schuppner. She adored her grand-nephew Ryder and grand-niece Issie. Amy was an adventurer who often took trips locally and at times overseas depending upon where her heart would lead. Recently Amy found her happy place in Kansas at the family farm of James and Ellen Standlee, where she loved the animals and rode her first horse. Amy was a loving, kind, and quirky woman who will be deeply missed by her family and friends who made up her “tribe”.

Amy is survived by her brother Jim (Julie) Schuppner, niece Hannah (Nate) Calow, nephew Gavin (Bre) Schuppner, and grand-nephew Ryder and grand-niece Issie.

She is preceded in death by her father, William, her mother, Maryann, and brother, John who passed at birth, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
