Barbara J. VanHauen

Barbara J. VanHauen, 96, of Roscoe, Il, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side, on September 8, 2024.

Born May 24th, 1928, in Minnesota, to father Hiko Hoting and mother Mary Terviel. 

She moved to Roscoe with her daughter 5 years ago, after spending most of her life in the Seward\Pecatonica area.

Barbara married Robert E VanHauen August 4th, 1950.  She retired from Bergners in 1990 as a customer service representative.  She loved working in her yard, going to garage sales and thrift stores, and raising her fur babies. Barb was the best grandma to all her grandkids, and will be truly missed.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Pendergrass, granddaughter Michelle Watkins (Cory Archibald), grandson Michael Pendergrass, great-grandchildren Taylor, Logan (Chloe Wantrobski), and Joshua Watkins, Jazmine Schoonover (Demion Ferguson), Braden and Laney Archibald, and great-great grandson Micah.

Predeceased in death by her husband, Robert E VanHauen, son Michael VanHauen, sister Anna Mae NewHausen, and brother Henry Hoting.

Burial in 12 Mile Grove Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
