Betty J. Jones

Betty Jean Jones, 88, of Rochelle, Illinois, passed away on May 13, 2022 in Rochelle, Illinois.  She was born in Warren, Illinois to Clarence and Vera Schultz on December 5, 1933.  She graduated from Warren High School in 1951.  She married Bruce Jones on October 7, 1951 in Warren, Illinois.  She is preceded in death by both parents Clarence and Vera Schultz of Freeport, Illinois, her husband Bruce Jones of Rochelle, Illinois, her son Daryll Jones (Alyce) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and her son Dean Jones of Rochelle, Illinois.  She is survived by her son David Jones (Brenda) of Creston, Illinois; and daughter Karole Hamilton (Larry) of Lexington, Kentucky.  She is also survived by numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service inurnment will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle,

She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Rochelle; and attended the First General Baptist Church of Rochelle.  The family wishes to express our sincere thanks to Unity Hospice and the staff of Manor Care of Rochelle for the care and comfort of our mother.
