Billy Joe Renner Bachi passed away peacefully on April 24, 2023 at the age of 92.
Throughout the years, Billy as a youth and then as an adult, was involved in various activities from aquatics, band, church choir, Cub Scouts Den Mother, Girl Scouts, Sweet Adeline’s, and the local theater group. She was also involved with the start of the first Highland Festival Games in Alma, Michigan.
After her children were grown, Billy was active in the youth program at Church of the Cross in Schaumburg, Illinois. Billy lived in the Gateway Retirement Community in Frankfort, Illinois and was involved in various community activities.
Billy Joe enjoyed writing short stories and poems and participated in writing classes over the years. She also enjoyed doing arts and crafts with her children and later on creating many memorable items for both her children and grandchildren as well as for special people in her life. Her passion was sewing, embroidering, and creating a variety of artistic pieces such as banners, curtains, wreaths, quillows, and more. Billy also made a variety of Depression Dolls (AKA rag dolls) with her daughter Melissa and created a special name and wrote a story to go along with each individual doll.
Billy is survived by her four children Thomas (Kelly) Bachi, Melissa Bachi, Kenneth Bachi, Jr., and Deborah Bachi Aumaugher. She is also survived by five grandchildren - Terra (Jason), James; Lizabeth, April; and Jace along with eight great grandchildren - Kayla, Alex; Elizabeth, Jessica, and Abigail; Nizhoni, Iziaiah and Esther.
Billy was preceded in death by her parents Leta Wall Renner Stone and Joseph Franklin Renner.
