It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catherine "Char" Rockwell, 59, of Rockford Illinois. She left us, surrounded by Family on October 4th 2023. After a 3-year battle with cancer she is finally at rest. Catherine was predeceased by her mother Betty Proctor, father Alton Proctor, and brother Alton Proctor. She is survived by daughters Billie (Thomas) Freeman, Ashley (Paul) Washington, and son Conner Rockwell. Siblings Janice (Merle) Good, Kenneth (Brenda) Proctor, Karen (Steve) Sarginson, Sheryl "Pokie" (Roy) Mayfield, and David (Jamie) Proctor. Along with 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Catherine was a loving grandmother with a great sense of humor who enjoyed family get togethers filled with love and laughter. She was loved by many and will be fondly remembered and fiercely missed. Family will hold a private celebration of life.
