Charles L. Hartman

Charles L. Hartman, 84, of Rockford went to meet his Savior on Friday, June 14, 2024.  Born in Ottawa, Illinois, the son of William and Doris (Pester) Hartman.  Charles loved his family and he loved being around children.  He faithfully served God in the Bus Ministries with Calvary Baptist, Belvidere and Berean Baptist, Rockford for 45 years as well as serving on various other Ministries.  He was a machinist for many years and for the last 20 years he worked in small engine repair.

Charles is survived by his wife, Sandra; sons, Yancy (Jadyne) Hartman, Wade (Joy) Hartman and Jason Hartman; grandchildren, Chase, Kiarra and Kyle; sister, Linda Hartman; brother, William (Roxanne) Hartman; nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Stephen (Patrice) Heuer and sister-in-law, Gail Heisner.  Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judy Hartman Rouch.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Berean Baptist Church in the Lower Level, with visitation starting at noon.
