Christine Ann (Chris) Felts was born on March 25, 1943 in Clintonville, Wisconsin. She passed away peacefully in Rockford, Illinois on September 8th, 2024 after a very sudden decline in her health. Chris was 81 years of age. Chris is survived by her loving partner Don Druck, her two sisters Jackie Stansel and Lisa Cohen and her two brothers Charles Felts and Bill Felts and several cats.
Chris grew up in several small towns in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she studied Sociology. After college she worked as a flight attendant and traveled to many places in the world. She then moved to Oak Park, Illinois, become a business executive at Montgomery Wards during which time she met her partner, Don. After she retired from Montgomery Wards the two of them moved to a rural part of Caledonia, Illinois to enjoy the privacy of country living.
Chris was a motor sports enthusiast and the two of them were frequent spectators at Road America racing events in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Chris was a devout lover of animals and had many pets during her life. To merely say that Chris cared deeply for animals would be an understatement, as she proved this day in and day out through countless hours caring for and keeping her pets safe. Chris was a very intellectual person. She loved to read fantasy and science fiction novels with JRR Tolkien’s, Lord of the Rings being her favorite. She loved music from the 1960’s and 1970’s with the Rolling Stones and Beatles being some of her favorite rock bands. Chris was a good cook and fantastic baker. Her pies were 2nd to none. She was very kind and giving to family members.
