Colleen R. Mathews

Colleen R. Mathews passed away peacefully in her home on April 7th, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Daughter of Willard and Betty Triplett, she was born on June 20th, 1969, in Rockford, Il. She married the love of her life, David Mathews, on October 15th, 1988.

Colleen valued her family and friends above all. She will be missed tremendously by her husband: David Mathews, son: Spencer (Eve) Mathews, daughter: Leann Mathews, beloved granddaughters: Kyra and Olivia, sisters: Bobbi Triplett, Lisa Fontana and Tamara Turner, mother-in-law: Ginger Powell, brother-in-law: Lyle (Lori) Mathews, God son: Zander Graves, and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

She enjoyed crafting, thrifting, bingo, live music, her 3 grand-puppies, and being surrounded by family and good friends.

Colleen’s selfless heart will be remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor at Schoonmaker Park (10893 Ventura Blvd, Machesney Park, IL 61115) on June 7th, 2025, from 12 pm to 3 pm.
