Dale D. Paul

Dale D. Paul “Old Man,” of Belvidere, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.  He was born September 3, 1962, to the late Darlene (Paul) Meyer.  He loved spending time with family and friends.  He liked listening to Rock & Country music, spending time outdoors, spending time with his grandsons and going to concerts with his loving wife, Diana.

Dale is survived by his wife, Diana (Babcock) Paul; children, Tammy Babcock, Josh Dunn, Jessica Paul (Brandon Meyer) and Erica Paul; grandchildren, Damian, Brandon, Chase, Shacklee and Nikko Meyer; sisters, Deonna Love, Darla (Eric) Loos, Della (Bryan) Hathaway, Charlotte (Edward) Salzman and a stepbrother, Allen Meyer; nieces and nephews, Karlene (Erik) Sandstrom, Cullen (Bri) Salzman, Justin (Ariel) Love, Blake Love, Taylor Loos, Tera Loos and Dakota Hathaway and one great nephew, Charlie Love; brothers-in-law, Dave (Laura) Babcock, Jim (Penny) Babcock and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, with a funeral service starting at 4:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Highland Garden of Memories, 9800 IL-76 in Belvidere.  A time of fellowship will follow immediately at the VFW Post 1461, 1310 W. Lincoln Ave, Belvidere.  A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Lucky Pines Pub House and Gaming, 1540 Business 20 West, Freeport.
