Obituary

David Asher 79, of South Beloit, IL formerly of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 12, 2022.  Born on October 5, 1942 in Versailles, IL to Helen Burnett.  David served in the US Navy 1960-1964 & the Naval Reserves 1964-1968.  David was employed at Chicago Rawhide Elgin, IL as a machinist from 1965-2002.  David married Elizabeth Anne Childers September 12, 1965.  David is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Asher; daughters, Barbara Asher Maier (Anthony) and Pamela Asher Hertzner (Keith); sons, James Asher (Kathy), John Asher (Brandie Craiger), Joshua Asher (Kandyce Eliason), 6 Grandchildren, 11 Great grandchildren, 6 Nieces, 1 Nephew, sister Mary Jo James of Arlington, Washington.

David’s family and friends will miss him dearly and know that life will not be the same without him, but are incredibly grateful to have had so many years with him. 

We would like to give a special thank you to David’s caregivers and nurses in his final days. You are truly a blessing. Additionally, we would like to thank all of the family and friends who called, stopped by to visit, and brought joy into our home during a difficult time. 

David’s wishes were to not have any services.
