Deborah "Debi" Sue Gangel, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. She was years old. Debi is survived by her loving mother, Katherine King, and her devoted husband of 25 years, Ron Gangel. Her three children, Jason Geark, Jeff (Colleen) Geark, and Krista (Mike) Asta, will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. She was a proud grandmother to Jameson, Gavin, Michael Glen, and Tyler, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her siblings Barb Mizner, Robyn Pridemore, and James "Digger" Kleinfelter, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were touched by her warmth and giving heart. Debi was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd B. Nelson, and her step-father, Robert King. Their memories will live on through her enduring spirit and the stories she lovingly shared.
A celebration of Debi's life will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM in the Chapel at Highland Garden of Memories, 9800 IL-76, Belvidere. Family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing Debi are invited to join in honoring her memory.
Debi will be deeply missed, but her love and light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
