It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Diana Louise Rudisill, who left this world peacefully on July 4, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on June 26, 1948, in Freeport, Illinois, Diana was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend of all who knew her. Diana was the daughter of Francis and Anna Nelson, who preceded her in death, along with her beloved sisters, Kathy Wolniakowski and Glenda Reilly.
In 1966, Diana married the love of her life, Dan Rudisill, in a beautiful ceremony in her hometown of Freeport. Together, they forged a life filled with love and laughter, raising their family.
Diana is survived by her devoted husband, Dan, and their three loving children: Lisa (James) Townsend, Libby (Tim) Hoffman, and Aaron Rudisill. She was a proud grandmother to eight
grandchildren and a great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren.
Diana was known for her vibrant spirit and her passions. A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, she enjoyed cheering on her team and sharing the joy of the game with family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for cats, finding comfort and companionship in their purring presence. Diana also loved playing Euchre, often gathering at the Moose Lodge with friends.
The family invites all who knew and loved Diana to celebrate her life during a Celebration of Life event at the American Legion, located at 900 W. Chrysler Dr., Belvidere, IL. This gathering will take place on July 12, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 PM.
Diana Louise Rudisill will be deeply missed by her family and friends.. May she rest in peace.
