Dolores A. Soma

Dolores Ann Soma, born January 23, 1944, to Roy and Harriet (Lee) Loveridge, passed away
peacefully at home on December 16, 2025, after a short illness, surrounded by family.
Dolores graduated from Belvidere High School in 1962 and married Larry Soma on August 2,
1965. She worked at Automatic Electric in Genoa and then spent most of her life as a devoted
homemaker.
She was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley and took great joy in his music. Dolores especially
cherished time spent watching and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Soma; her children, Tonya (Don) Renner and Todd
(Dawn) Soma; grandchildren, Devan (David) Rabe, Hunter (Kyle) Martenson, Nolan Soma, and
Eden Soma; and great-grandchildren, Daelynn Rabe, Cole Martenson, Londyn Rabe, and Clint
Martenson. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Muriel Blaeske, Noreen Soma, Joyce
Loveridge, Leona Roach, and several nieces, nephews, and good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Eugene, Robert, Roger, Judy (Yunk),
and her twin brother David; her father-in-law, Arlie Soma; her mother-in-law, Evelyn Soma; and
brothers-in-law, Robert Blaeske and Shaun Yunk.
