Donald Ray Mahurin

Donald Ray Mahurin, 57, of Belvidere, Illinois, left this earth on Mon. Aug. 7 th , 2023. Born on
September 9 th , 1965, in Belvidere, Illinois. Donald was a Graduate of Belvidere High School Class of
1983. He married the Love of his Life, Ceres, on June 8 th , 2000. Donald worked at True Value for 25
years where he made many lifetime friends. Donald enjoyed Fishing, Pool (with Leagues & his
nephews), Nascar, Bowling, and spending time with his beloved Ceres. Donald was a Member & Past
SAL Commander of the American Legion Boone Squadron 77 and Coon Creek Casters. Donald was proud
to be a Father Figure & Mentor to many. Donald is survived by his Wife, Ceres, of 23 years. 2 Stepchildren. Mother, Judy (Michael)
Fredberg, Brothers, David (Christine) Mahurin, Doug (Heather) Mahurin, and Sister Karen Palka. Along
with Grandchildren and Numerous Nephews & Nieces.
Donald was preceded in death by his Father, Earnest Paul Mahurin, Brother, William Mahurin, &
Grandparents. Ceres extends her heartfelt gratitude for your patience and consideration as she collected her
thoughts and strength to navigate the emotional challenges ahead. She invites you to a Celebration of
Life on Sat. Sept. 2nd , 2023, from 1-5 pm at the American Legion Boone Post 77, 900 W. Chrysler Drive,
