Donna Grace Davis

Donna Grace Davis, 85, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully, into the presence of Jesus, on Saturday, August 5, 2023. She was born November 8, 1937 in Aurora, IL to Edward and Grace McCune. Donna married Donald Davis on June 15, 1963 in Glendale, CA. This summer they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary!

Donna was employed as a travel agent for 25 years. Over her 55 years in Rockford, she faithfully served three different churches: Broadway Covenant Church, Crosspoint Church (formerly Temple Baptist Church), and NorthRidge Community Church. Donna was a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She loved studying God’s Word with other women, and was involved in both Bible Study Fellowship, and, more recently, Community Bible Study, where she made many special friendships. Other hobbies Donna enjoyed over the years were tennis, reading, music and decorating. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family. She was a warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Donna is survived by her husband, Donald Davis, her daughter, Kerrie (Troy) Hicks, her son, Kelly Davis, her grandsons, Kaleb (Shondra) Gottfred, Konnor Gottfred, Jesse Davis, Joshua Davis, Josiah Davis, her great grandsons, Karson and Kaiden Gottfred, and many special nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service and reception will be held at Broadway Covenant Church on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 2pm. Memorials to Community Bible Study c/o Kerrie Hicks, 5877 Casandra Ct., Rockford, IL 61114.
