Dorothy Holliday Obituary

Dorothy D. Holliday of Belvidere passed away June 3,2020. She was born in Lake County, Indiana on February 25,1930 to Floyd and Della Huebsch.  Dorothy married the love of her life, Paul in 1949. They enjoyed many years together at the “cabin” at Castle Rock Lake Wisconsin where many many fish were caught. They were lifetime members of VFW Post 1461 where many fish tales were told over a cold beer.  Dorothy was an excellent golfer and longtime member of Bel Mar Country Club where she won many tournaments including the 2008 Ladies golf Championship.  Dorothy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Belvidere for over 50 years.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Barb Quigley; grandchildren, Alex Quigley, Liz Quigley, and Julie (Mike) Pinkston; great-grandchildren, Samantha Quigley, Ebin Headrick, Rhett and Max Pinkston, and soon to be born baby boy Pinkston; sister, Mary Freund and brother, William Huebsch and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, her son, Paul, brothers, Richard and Robert Huebsch, sisters-in-law, Betty, Maxine, and Betty Huebsch, brother-in-law, William Freund and son-in-law, Chris Quigley.

The family thanks the angels at Anam Care and Heartland Hospice for their loving care of Dorothy .

A celebration of Dorothy’s life will take place at a later date.
