Douglas Roberts Obituary

Douglas Paul Roberts, born February 16, 1957 to parents Paul & Marlene (Johnson) Roberts, passed away in his home Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from natural causes. A long time machinist, he worked in the Rockford area for local companies Androck Hardware and Thomason Machine Works. An avid fisherman, Doug fished many B.A.S.S. tournament with local clubs, The Rockford Hawg Hunters, and was a founding member of Stateline Bass Anglers. Doug was happiest when fishing, or visiting with his grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father Paul, and both sets of grandparents He is survived by his mother Marlene, wife Tracy, Brothers Randy(Teresa)(AZ) & David(Byron), sister Sarah Lingel (Rockford), children Chad(Byron) & Haley Roberts (Pecatonica,IL), and granddaughters Lylah & Lydia, and several nieces & nephews. Memorial will be held at All Saints Lutheran Church, 624 Luther Dr., Byron, on Saturday, October 16 from 2-4 pm. With a celebration of life to follow, at 2nd Chance Bar, 109 W. Second St., Byron.
