Elissa A. Seitz

Elissa "Lisa" A. Seitz, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a sudden illness.

Born on February 3, 1961, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Walter Dieken Sr. and Betty Lou Browning, Lisa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. On October 19, 2000, she married the love of her life, Paul Seitz, with whom she shared a passion for music and adventure. Together, over 28 years, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and cherished memories.

Lisa had a radiant spirit, and her warm smile could brighten any room. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Seitz of Rockford, IL, and her cherished dog, Taz; her daughter, Lacey (Andrew Russell) Morgan of Peoria, IL, and stepdaughter, Tekie (Robert) Zimmerman of Orangeville, IL; her grandson; her brothers, Walter Dieken and John (Gail) Dieken of Hastings, NE, Philip Honeycutt of Pecatonica, IL, and Robert Dieken of Muncie, IN; her sister, Brenda "Nikki" Dieken of Sterling, IL; as well as her cherished nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Dieken Sr. and Betty Lou Pierce; her beloved aunt, Adelena "Lanie" (Dieken) Peach; her sister, Deborah Sue Dieken Foreman; and her cousin, Rinhardt John "RJ" Peach Jr.

A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on May 3rd, 2025 at the SMSF Club located at 1010 Sandy Hollow Rd. in Rockford, Illinois from 1-4 p.m

Lisa’s kindness, love, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
