Ellen Betty Smelser

Ellen Betty Smelser passed away on April 29, 2025. She was the beloved matriarch of the following survivors, sons Jesse Howard Smelser and Ralph Douglas Smelser, daughters Denise Leber and Barb Enloe (John Jenkins) grandsons Richard Lewis and Mark Leber, granddaughters Lisa Leber Graham (TJ), Sonja Smelser Taylor (Darren) and Amy Smelser Graham, great-grandsons Tag and Zane Taylor, Cody, Austen, Mason, and Thomas Graham, great-granddaughters Emily and Nova Graham, great-great-grandchildren Kathleen and Zachariah Graham. Ellen was predeceased by son Boyce Smelser, son-in-law Terry Leber, daughters-in-laws Kathleen Smelser and Patricia Smelser and grandson Kelton Valdez. 

She also leaves behind her sisters Mildred Perry and Brenda Bogart (Ben). Predeceased by parents Jeff and Cordie Manning, siblings Jay Manning, Martha Statler, and Joe Manning.

Ellen loved gardening and enjoyed spending long hours at work in her flower beds.  She was a great cook. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, and excitedly anticipated their visits every week. Ellen enjoyed reading about many subjects and she studied the Bible daily. She will be missed by everyone.
