In Loving Memory of James Randy Hatcher
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James Randy Hatcher, a man whose heart was as warm as the bonfires he loved to gather around with his loved ones. James departed from this world on October 28th 2023, leaving a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever burn bright in our hearts.
James, known to many as Randy, was an avid car enthusiast. His passion for automobiles was unwavering, and he could often be found beneath the hood of a car.
While his love for cars was undeniable, it was his devotion to family that truly defined him. Randy was a loving father and grandfather to many, and his presence at family gatherings was a source of joy and comfort. He had a special gift for creating a sense of unity, especially during those cherished bonfire nights where stories were told, laughter echoed, and bonds were strengthened under the starry sky.
Randy's legacy will live on in the memories of his children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. His kindness, wisdom, and love will be a guiding light in the lives of those he leaves behind.
Survived by his wife, Jerry Sue Lease Hatcher; father, Donald Hatcher; brother, Sammy Hatcher; children, Jennifer (BJ) Holtdorf-Hatcher, Kayla Hatcher, Tiffany Hatcher, Trina Hatcher, James (Brandy) Hatcher Jr., Cody Hatcher; their mother, Margaret Johnson; step-children, Robbin Schuyler, Steven Petty, Jack (Megan) Lease and Kevin Petty; 27 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Blair Hatcher and wife, Donna Hatcher.
A celebration of Randy's life will be held on November 9th 2023 at 900 W Chrysler Dr, Belvidere, IL 61008. at 4pm
James Randy Hatcher will forever be remembered for his unwavering love for family, his passion for cars, and the warmth of the bonfires he shared with those he held dear. May he rest in peace, knowing that he left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
