Jerry Wahl, passed away peacefully in his sleep of a heart attack on Wednesday, March 11, 20201 at the age of 51. Jerry was born on July 22, 1969 in Des Plaines, Illinois to Frank and Marj Wahl. Jerry was a resident of Belvidere, IL for the majority of his life.
He is survived by his daughter, Kaylee Taylor (Wahl); parents, Frank and Marj Wahl; brother, James (Kathy) Wahl; sisters, Meredith Wahl, Michele Holsker, Julee (Curt) Edson; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Wahl, Shannon Wahl, Xavier Chapman, Julius Chapman, Jarett Gritzmacher, Christian Holsker, Brianna Holsker, Isabelle Edson, Angelina Edson, Paris Keierleber, Nicholette Keierleber, Angelina Keierleber. Jerry is preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Wahl and David Keierleber.
Jerry was the founder of Carpentry Designs. Jerry will forever be remembered for his love for everyone he came in contact with. He loved his family with all his heart. Jerry’s zest for life, his creativity, lending a helping hand and fixing anything and everything he could, will be missed by all who knew him. Jerry loved his trips to Minnesota, and spending time with family and incredible friends, just relaxing and drinking coffee with friends and chatting, relaxing in the garage with all who stopped over to relax, and summer weekend nights playing sandbags. His laughter was contagious, and his positive outlook on life was infectious. Jerry’s down time consisted of building, reconstructing and fixing anything he could get his hands on.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Belvidere VFW.
