Jerry M. Bentley

Jerry M. Bentley, 76, of Rockford, IL passed away on November 26, 2025, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.
Jerry was born on Aug 31, 1949 to Roscoe and Amanda Bentley in Thacker, WV. He moved to Marengo, IL at the age of 18, where he met the love of his life, Beverly Ann Rasmussen. They were United in marriage on November 25, 1967.
He worked for Central (Techalloy) Wire from 1970 until retirement. Jerry and Beverly shared their love of animals, they raised and showed horses in their free time.
He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, both to relax and to help raise money for many charitable events.
Survivors include his children Shawn (Mellody) Bentley of Rockford, IL, Amanda (Michael) Stanek of Hillsboro, WI, Helen (Doug) Triplett of Byron, IL. Grandchildren Cassandra (Billy) Morales, Joshua Bentley, Amber Carmona, Jonna Cowsert, Dakota (Emily) Page, Samantha (Chad) Schiefelbein, Stephanie (Jeremy) Ziemke, Autumn and Alexis Stanek, Katie (Victor Collazo Vargas) Triplett, Sam ( Maddison Leon) Triplett.
Great Grandchildren Abby, Johnathan, Kayleigh, Chris, Kylee, Layla , Joseph, Charles, Cody, Brantley, Summer, Mason, Skylar, Denver, and Harper. Brother Woodrow (Debra) Bentley of Zephyrhills, Florida, sister Barbara Warrix of Matewan, WV. Many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, brothers Frank, Lewis, and Scott. Sisters Helen Caudill, Margaret Harrelson, and Shirley Blankenship. 
Jerry will be laid to rest along side his forever love, in a private graveside ceremony for family, at Highland Memory Gardens in Belvidere, IL.
