Jill Denise Hubbard (nee Crane), 71, of Belvidere, IL, passed away on January 31, 2024. She was born on April 18, 1952, in Chicago, IL and grew up surrounded by her large family of 5 siblings and her loving parents, Mildred and Jack, who influenced her to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others.
Jill was a dedicated homemaker and previously baker. She devoted her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her family. Jill's greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, and she cherished every moment she shared with her husband, children, and grand-children. She is survived by her husband, Harold (Hub) Hubbard, her son Kevin Hubbard and daughter-in-law Tonya Hubbard, her daughter Keri Hubbard, her grandchildren Kaden Contreras, Kolten Contreras, Kyle (Emily) Scheve, Brittney Scheve, and Peyton Ellenwood, her great-grandchildren Faye Scheve, Riley Scheve, her sisters and brothers Jackie (Jerry) Schur, Joyce (Terry) Larson, Dan (Robbie) Crane, David (Jill) Crane, and many nieces and nephews.
Jill is preceded in death by her sister, Donna Williams. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
In her free time, Jill indulged in her hobbies of sewing, baking, gardening, and crafting. Her creativity knew no bounds, and she delighted in creating beautiful pieces that brought joy to those around her. She especially loved holidays, and had a special gift of decorating her home with such love and warmth using many of her hand-made creations (quilts. wall-hangings, table-runners, ceramics, and so many other crafts). Her generous spirit loved gifting her creations to family and friends that will always be cherished by all.
Jill will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and her dedication to creating a loving home. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, and creativity that will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Upon Jill's request, there will be no memorial service. At a later date, the family will honor Jill's memory and last request of having a party to celebrate her life (as we all know she loved a good party).
Please join us in remembering Jill and sharing stories and memories of her life.
