Joyce M. Frazer

Joyce Marie Frazer (née Oberhart), 74, passed away peacefully, at home on
December 9, 2025, in Belvidere, Illinois.
Joyce was born on August 19, 1951, in Elgin, to the late John and Evelyn Oberhart,
making her the 7 th out of 11 children. Joyce lived a life rooted in love for her
family and deep devotion to those closest to her.
Joyce was the beloved mother of Jason (Anna) Haggerty and the late Desiree
Inmon.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Daniel, Dean, Henry and Olivia Haggerty; Jessica
Scales; Amanda, Breanna, Hannah, and Trevor Inmon. Her grandchildren held a
special place in her heart and brought her immense joy throughout her life.
She is also remembered with love by her siblings: John (Janet, d. 2022) Oberhart,
George (Sandy, d. 2010) Oberhart, Mary (Kenneth) Sanders, Deborah (Roger)
Moudy, Pamela (Garry) Walls, and Joan (Dennis, d. 2021) Hale.
Joyce’s extended family includes many nieces and nephews who were dear to her.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Desiree Inmon; her parents John and
Evelyn Oberhart; her brothers James and Paul (Gail) Oberhart, sisters Patricia
(Robert, d. 2007) Johnson and Susan (John, d. 2008) Millard.
Joyce’s life was centered around the people she loved most. Her warmth and
dedication to family created lasting bonds that will be cherished by all who knew
her. May Joyce’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM at
St. James Catholic Church, 402 Church Street Belvidere, Illinois
Inurnment will be at Belvidere Cemetery Columbarium
1121 N. Main Street, Belvidere, Illinois
