Julianne Olive Adamson

Julie Adamson, 98, of  Poplar Grove entered her eternal home on Saturday, July 31, 2021. She was born in Corvallis, Montana, on January 10, 1923, the daughter of Max and Emma (Bicknese) Moeller.  She and B. Daniel Adamson were married on January 4, 1941, and worked together on their dairy farms in Huntley, Marengo, Belvidere, and Poplar Grove until they retired in 1980 .  

Julie was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church, Belvidere and was well known for all the quilts she prepared for Lutheran World Relief since 1955.  She enjoyed being with family, playing games, roller coaster rides, puzzles, and serving others.

She is survived by children, Diane (Bill) Vorndran, Sharon Vinson, Margaret (Dennis) Flemming, Daniel (Hollis) Adamson and Dawn (Allen) Reimer; siblings Wanda Dieckman and Richard (Jan) Moeller; sisters-in-law Gwen Moeller and Marge Moeller, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Predeceased by her husband, daughter Linda Adamson, brothers Arnold, Hans, Leonard, Max and Elmer Moeller and sister Louise Moeller, grandchildren Carl and Amanda Adamson and great grandchild Brennan Vinson and many nieces and nephews.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 5, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1300 Pearl Street, Belvidere, IL 61008 Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church.  The family would like to thank Dr. Clayton Malakar as well as her caregivers Sabrina,and Katelin of Home Instead and special friends Inga & Gideon.
