Kathleen Bee Bender

Kathleen Bender, 76, of Loves Park, IL went home to her savior on June 27,2024. She was born December 17, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa to John and Bebe (Solik) McCulley. Kathy married the love of her life Phillip Bender in December 1989 in Rockton, IL. She worked for many years at Rock Valley College as the President’s executive assistant. An avid quilter, she had many quilting friends who brought her so much happiness. Her friends and family have been blessed with the fruits of her labor with beautiful quilts to enjoy for years to come.  Kathy was loved and will be dearly missed by her husband Phil, children Chrissy Zaccanti and Steve (Brandie) Johnson, step-children Sandy Gustafson, Susan (Tim) Greer and Phil (Tina) Bender, grandchildren Alex, Samantha, Benjamin and Brady Johnson, Samuel Zaccanti, Randi Witte, Benjamin (Ashley) and Joseph Gustafson, Katie and Matthew Greer, Nicholas Bender & Nathan Reuber, great grandchildren, Bailey, Krista & Mason. Predeceased by her Parents John and Bee McCulley, loving son Erick Johnson, Sister Sharon McCulley, son in law Gary Gustafson & grandson Andrew Gustafson. Private arrangements were completed per her wishes.
