In Loving Memory of Kay Lovitt
February 7, 1947 – July 13, 2025
Kay Lovitt, a kind-hearted and God-loving woman, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of July 13th, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family. Born on February 7, 1947, Kay was the beloved daughter of Mary and Emery Lovitt. She was predeceased by her parents, her son Thomas Kadlec, her brother Paul Lovitt, and her sister Pat Forester.
Kay is survived by her loving husband, Jim Malcolm, and her brother, Earl Lovitt. She was a devoted mother to Thomas Kadlec and Jamie Chaney, and a proud grandmother to William Krones (Dawn), Craig Krones (Melissa), and Candice Lankford (Jonathan). Her greatest joy came from being “GG” to her cherished great-grandchildren: Leia Krones, Willow Krones, Lewis Lankford, and Lilliana Lankford. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Even with little, Kay spared no expense when it came to her family—especially her great-grandbabies. Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit were felt by everyone she met, and her faith-filled life was a testimony to all who knew her. She will be remembered as a woman of grace, strength, and deep love.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., with Msgr. Knox officiating.
Interment in Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
