Kenneth “Ken” Bloomfield
Born in Evanston, Illinois – Passed away October 19, 2025

Kenneth “Ken” Bloomfield passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, October 19th, 2025.
He now joins his beloved wife, Barbara Bloomfield, who preceded him in death. Ken and
Barbara were married on May 1, 1984, sharing more than 40 wonderful years together filled
with love, laughter, and family.
Born in Evanston, Illinois, Ken proudly served his country as a Military Police officer in the
United States Army, where he served four years with honor and dedication. Following his
military service, he built a long and successful career with Chrysler, dedicating over 30 years
to the company. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the lasting friendships
he made throughout his career.
Outside of work, Ken was a man of many passions. He enjoyed woodworking, collecting
antiques, and traveling, often combining these hobbies on adventures with Barbara and their
family. Whether crafting something with his hands or exploring a new destination, Ken
approached life with curiosity, creativity, and care.
Ken is survived by his children Lynn (Steve) Bloomfield, Dane (Laurie) Bloomfield, Christine
Cooper, and Cheryl (Del) Williams; and his stepchildren Curt (Carrie) Scheeler and Stephanie
Bleshoy.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Wayne Bloomfield and Mark Bloomfield, and is
survived by his brother Scott Bloomfield.
Ken was a proud grandfather to Gavin (Lexi) Bleshoy, Joshua Bleshoy, Wyatt Bleshoy, Aiden
Bleshoy, Matthew (Courtney) Newton, Amanda Newton, Curt Scheeler, Madison Scheeler,
Dakota (Allison) Bloomfield, Reed Kaczar, Eric Peterson, Jordan Carlson, Jericha Carlson,
Jacob Cooper, Jessica Cooper, Melody Olson, Michael Williams, and Jordan Williams, as well
as a great-grandfather to fourteen beloved great-grandchildren.
Ken will also be remembered by his dear friend of 40 years, Amanda Werner.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, integrity, and love
for family and country will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A memorial service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held at the American Legion on Saturday,
December 27, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather,
share memories, and honor a life well lived.
