Korey A. O'Connor

Korey A. O’Connor, 36 of Rockford, IL. passed away on Tuesday July 6th, 2021.  Born March 11, 1985 in Rockford and much loved son of Patrick and Melody O’Connor.  Korey was a stay at home dad and a long time caregiver to his mother. His devotion to family was top of his list. Korey was a 2003 Graduate of Harlem High and so proud of his Irish heritage, Korey loved scaring people on Halloween, watching UFC with friends, collecting basketball cards, sport shooting, watching a good thunderstorm and playing video games. He was a true comedian that loved making everyone laugh. Korey was so excited to become a Father and becoming a devoted dad to Kelley and future husband to Suzie. His entire life changed the day Kelley was born and nothing was more important.

Korey also leaves this one last message to all who knew him (in the voice of Arnold Schwarzenegger) "STOP WHINING!"

Korey will be dearly missed but will always be in our loving memories.

Korey leaves behind his beloved Suzie and daughter, Kelley Sue; parents Patrick and Melody; brothers, Shaun and Ryan (twin) O’Connor all of Rockford; Grandmother, Lois Kelley; Aunt’s Mickey (Dick) Lindquist, Kathie O’Connor, Peggy Mark, Jackie (Ron) Davis, Stephanie McKinney and Brenda Kelley; Niece, Ireland O’Connor; many cousins and friends.
There will be a private viewing for family and close friends on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Highland Gardens Chapel, 9800 Il Route 76 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID stains, Please respect others and wear a mask if not fully vaccinated. Social distancing is also requested were needed.

A celebration of life will be held  for family and friends in the coming weeks.
