Lance Terry Bressler of Rockford, Il passed away on Monday, June 28 at his home surrounded by his wife, daughters, and sisters.
Lance was born June 2, 1944 in Rockford to Neil T Bressler, and Shirley E Bressler. He attended West High School, joined the US Army, 25th Infantry, at 17 years old, serving in vietnam. He retired from Rockford Mass Transit after 40 years. Lance had a great sense of humor, and told the funniest stories. When he was younger, he enjoyed photography, cooking, riding his motorcycle (even attempting a trip across the US and Canada), and he was the ringleader to many massive family waterfights. As Lance got older, he prefered to chill in his backyard, enjoying nature. Lance love spending time with his family, and in the end, he said that was all he wanted. Lance married his first wife, Anne, in 1967(divorced). They had 2 daughters, Jennifer and Amanda. In 2004, he married Eva Rockwood. They spent the remainder of his years together, along with thier furbabies, Max, Duke, Moe, and Fee (and others they have lost along the way). They loved spending time together in their backyard oasis, feeding the animals and birds, and enjoying the simple life, which made him truely happy.
Lance was survived by his wife, Eva Bressler; daughters, Jennifer Bressler (Jeremy Lancey), Amanda (Jason) Renton; grandchildren, Jordan Bressler, Matthew (Maryann) Leather, Samantha Leather, Sabrina Leather, Andrew Bressler, Cody Mitchell, Madison Renton, Taylor Renton; great grandaughter, Athena Leddy; sisters, Jaci Bressler, Pat (Mark) Flood; Furbabies, Max, Duke, Moe, Fee; in-laws, Daun (William) StJohn, Jeff (Brenda) Rockwood, Clint (Brenda) Rockwood; bonus daughters, Ellen McGill, Shana hughes; several neices and nephews. preceded in death by his parents, Neil Bressler and Shirley Bressler-Campbell, and great grandson, Elijah Renton
