Laura Marie Rotroff-Thompson

On Friday night, March 27th, 2020, Laura Marie Rotroff-Thompson passed away at the age of 48, alongside her significant other (Tom Mcguire) in their waterfront home in Machesney Park, IL. Laura was born on July 18th, 1971 in Oak Lawn, Illinois to her parents, the late Jack and Laverne Rotroff. She graduated from Oak Lawn High School in 1989 before attending Southeastern Academy of Travel and Tourism (Kissimmee, FL) where she earned certification as a Travel Agent. Laura was a proud mother of two girls, Jessicca and Jacklyn Thompson, who will love and miss her forever. While we know that she is at peace, it is still hard to say goodbye so soon. Family and friends were Laura's passion and delight. Laura was a kind, smart, and beautiful person who cared deeply. She enjoyed going to the beach and laughing in the sun with her loved ones. Laura was also an exceptional cook who lovingly prepared food for her friends and family. Laura is survived by her two children (Jessicca and Jacklyn), her brother (John) and his family, and a number of other loving relatives and close friends. Laura was preceded in death by her father (Jack), her mother (Laverne), and her brother (Vernon).
