Linda Violet Nabor passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side from her battle with metastatic breast cancer on Sunday, August 1st, 2021, at Northwoods Symphony Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Belvidere, IL.
Linda was born May 26th, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Clarence and Myrtle Binz. At the age of 12, her parents decided to move from Chicago to Streamwood IL She was educated in the Elgin school district and graduated from Elgin High School in 1963. After her high school graduation, Linda moved back to Chicago and worked at the Prudential building in the Downtown area. She was united in marriage to Anthony Nabor on May 1, 1965, in Streamwood where they made their home until their divorce in 1986. Linda moved from Streamwood to West Dundee in 1994 and then to Belvidere in 2002.
Linda lived a full life as a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was very involved within the Streamwood community, St. John's Evangelist Catholic Church, and her children's school. She worked various jobs that were related to the insurance industry. In 1978 she started at United Airlines and dedicated 25 years until her retirement in 2003. She loved to travel and planned several traveling excursions, including her favorite destinations to Hawaii, Arizona, California, and the Vatican City in Rome Italy. Known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers, some may be surprised to learn of the extreme shyness she had as a teenager. Yet even as a teenager, she possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a simple demeanor. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smile will never be forgotten. A woman of deep faith and the true heart of her family, Linda shaped their spirituality by her examples set as a devout Catholic.
