He married Denise Rae Brockett on October 19th, 1984

He was survived by 6 children 

He was also survived by siblings: Harold Buck Brockett(Lori), Margie Benhoff (Jim), Linda Brockett, Georgette Eisman, Chuck Brockett(Susan), Sandy Lasher(Farmer), Carolyn Warth, George Mattis.(Sheri)

Daughter: Misty Brockett, of Burlington, Iowa

4 sons, Troy (Dawn) Cooper, of Burlington, Iowa

 Ryan Matlick of Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Chip (Tara) Brockett, of Roscoe, IL

Joseph Brockett, of Rockford, IL

And 3 stepsons

Roger, Steven, Anthony

Stepmother: Alvera Brockett

He was also survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild: Carson Hagan

Grandchildren: Shelby Brockett, Kendalynn Brockett, Braelynn Brockett, Parker Brockett, Paisley Brockett, Paxton Brockett, Weston Brockett,Kaitlyn Cooper, Lexington Matlick, and Khloe Matlick.  Shawna, Kelsey and Lainey Matlick.  

Predeceased - Mother: Roberta Ragsdale, Father: Charles Brockett.

Daughter:Nicole Matlick. Son: Rick Knight. 2 brothers, Danny Brockett and Mart Brockett. 

He loved his family, the love of motorcycles, The Minnesota Vikings, he was 

A lived outdoorsman, he was also a over the road truck driver for many years, a member of the 82nd Airborne, He also loved to sing and dance.
