Louise Naramore Mathis passed away April 10th, 2022 at Alpine Fireside nursing home. She was born May 29th, 1933 in Bessemer, Alabama to Amos and Jettie (Banks) Naramore. On March 18th, 1947 she married her husband of 53 years Osburn Mathis in Rock Creek Alabama. In 1952 they moved to Illinois and settled for a while in South Beloit. Then in 1961 they moved to Caledonia where she would spend the next 53 years. When they moved to Illinois Louise went to work at Atwood Vacuum Machine Co. where she spent 30 years working.
Louise enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and making the best biscuits in all of Boone County. The highlight of her life was getting to spoil her numerous amounts of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her six daughters Linda (Rev. Alan) Meyer of Midland City, Al, Janet (Bruce) Morelock of Poplar Grove, Il, Zdena (Clayton-deceased) Lofquist of Belvidere, Pamela (Jim) Ladzinski Of Lasalle, Il, Jill (Jim) Cox, of Poplar Grove, Il, and Rebecca (Mark) Lofquist of Baudette, Mn. Louise is also survived by her 14 grand children, 23 great grand children and 3 great great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents Amos and Jettie (Banks) Naramore, her husband Osburn Mathis, 5 brothers and 3 sisters, her son-in-law Clayton Lofquist and her grandson Ryan Ladzinski.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday April 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by the Reverend David Meyer, Louise's grandson at Highland Garden of Memories 9800 IL-76 Belvidere, Il. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Louise’s name to either St. Jude's or the Shriners International.
