Marilyn Perry Obituary

We are sad to announce the passing of Marilyn Conley (Bell) Perry of Rockford, IL. She passed away at the young age of 76 on January 18th 2024. Bell passed away surrounded by her loved ones after a short battle with cancer. Her loss is completely unexpected and her family is profoundly saddened. Bell was born on October 12th 1947 to Harold & Ruth Conley in Omaha, NE. After Bell graduated from Sterling High School in 1965, she went on to study Nursing at Rockford Memorial School of Nursing. She enjoyed playing Bridge, basket weaving, reading, traveling, spending time with her family and enjoyed a nice glass of wine with her friends.

After graduating with a degree in Nursing in 1968, she started her first job at Rockford Memorial Hospital as an RN, kickstarting a 40 plus year career in the nursing field.   Bell married Roger Perry on May 3 1969 in Sterling, IL and they went on to have 3 beautiful children. Brian (Lauren) Perry, Kristin Martin (Chris Johnson) and Meghann (Jarod) Sinkiawic. They went onto have 7 grandchildren. Maise Shepard, Ty Martin, Luke Martin, Rhet Martin, Maison Sinkiawic, Joplyn Sinkiawic and Grace Perry. She loved her family dearly.

Bell is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, her sister Nancy Davis, her nephews & nieces. She has gone to be with her parents and loved ones.

The funeral will be a private ceremony with close family members present. In place of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society.

The family plans on holding a celebration of life in summer of 2024. We invite anyone who knew her to attend & remember her wonderful life. A date and location will be announced later. Cheers to a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, friend and nurse. She will be dearly missed by all.
