Mark Robert Wagner

Mark “Bob” Wagner  was born February 13, 1947 in Waukon, Iowa to Mark and Mary Dougherty Wagner. He passed on December 19, 2025 from a long illness.  Bob was raised on a farm in Lansing, Iowa and attended St. George High School, Lansing and Rock Valley College, Rockford, IL. He served in the US Army and deployed to Vietnam.  He worked for what originally was Barber Colman Company in Loves Park and their subsidiaries for over 52 yrs.  He and his wife, Karen Schott Wagner of 55 yrs,  moved to Virginia with the company for 13 yrs and returned to work back in Rockford for a few more years before he retired. 

    Bob and Karen have 2 children  Brent Wagner of Belvidere and Leasha Johnson (Ryan) of Cheektowaga, NY.  One grandson Dillon Meier and his wife Simarra of Poplar Grove with their infant daughter Lorena. 

      He is survived by sister Shari Curran (Pat), brother Ben and his wife Lisa Love of Lansing, Iowa. A sister Sheila Hermsen (Merle) Farley Iowa and a brother Bill Wagner and Cheryl Jackson of Ferderal Way, WA. He is also survived by a sister-in-law DeAnn Schott Ford of Waukon.  Bob has lots of nieces and nephews. 

  He was proceeded by his parents Mark and Mary Wagner, grandparents, Nieces Lyndsey Hermsen, Ellie Wagner, sister-in-law, Debbie Wagner and nephew Nick Curran.  sisters-in-law Marjean Schott Fahey and Joyce Schott Haas and brother-in-law Larry “Butch” Schott and in-laws Francis and Marge Stoulil Schott.  

      A memorial will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to:
