On Monday, July 6, 2020, Marshall Alan Blomberg, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at age 93. Marshall was born on May 13, 1927 in Winnebago Illinois to Henry and Lillian (Stromquist) Blomberg. On August 5th, 1957, he married Virginia Frandsen. They raised two sons, Daniel and Dave, and one daughter, Sara. Marshall had many talents and was like a jack of all trades. He liked to do woodworking projects including building his own house. He was introduced to welding when he was only 9 and made that his lifelong career. He built many projects with welding including a motor home and a big garden tractor. Marshall had more projects than he had time to do them. Marshall served in the US Army during the Korean war and made Sergeant before being honorably discharged at the end of the war. Marshall was preceded in death by his father, Henry, and his mother, Lillian. He is survived by his wife Virginia, his three children, Dan, Dave, Sara and grandchildren Branden and Madison. Marshall will be cremated and we will be having a joint service when his wife Virginia passes.
