Martha Benjamin

Martha Benjamin, 80, of Rockford passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Javon Bea Riverside Hospital.  Born February 24, 1940 in Russelville, Alabama, the daughter of Walter Pete and Maudie (King) Johnson.  Martha was an animal lover.  Her family meant everything to her.  She was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Martha was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Rockford, now known as Lighthouse Temple Pentecostal.  Martha is lovingly survived by her children, Oscar Taylor, Bernie Dillard, Shirley White, Patricia Taylor, Wanda Perry, Susan Benjamin, Kimberly Benjamin and Charlene Williams and numerous other family members.

Family and friends will gather for a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Lighthouse Temple Pentecostal Church, 2638 9th Street, Rockford, with Pastor Bernard Horbrook officiating.
