Martie A. Raschke, 86, of Freeport, IL. formerly of Elmhurst, IL. passed away on Friday January 22, 2021. Martie was born on November 18,1934 to Ludwig and Estelle (Purdom) Gust in Chicago, IL. She married John Dye in 1953 and together they had 4 children. Martie remarried to Eugene Raschke in 1964 and together had 1 child. Martie found love once again with John Wiltgen and they married at the Keeneyville Bible Church in Keeneyville, IL. in 1975. Martie had several jobs she loved through the years and made friends wherever she went. Her most memorable job was that of a school bus driver where she made friends with the parents of the children she once drove. Martie also loved gardening and was a true do-it-yourselfer. Above all Martie loved the Lord and received Him as her Savior as a young girl. She loved the piano and played remarkably well. She would often play at her nursing home in Freeport in her later years. Martie took vacations to Denver, Colorado, Lake Superior, and into Canada, North Carolina, Florida, and many small trips through the years to local places. Martie was a great seamstress in her retirement years when she lived in Southern Illinois making clothes for her grandchildren and herself a beautiful suit . Martie will forever be remembered for her ability to tell a great story or sing an old hymn along with playing them on the piano.

Martie is survived by her 5 children; Debra (Jim) Fiene of Freeport, IL, Renee Dye of Corpus Christie, Tx, John Dye of West Chicago, IL, Rollin (Rose Lewis) Dye of Norman,Ok, and Lisa Trisler of Freeport, IL. Grandchildren; Samantha, Anne, Melissa, Christy, John Afif, Alisha, Aaron, Jeffery, Amber, Jonathan, John James, Alexandria, Ashley, and Mark and many Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and sister Dorothy Didier of Lombard,IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Wiltgen in 1985, Eugene Rashke in 1987 and John Dye 2006, her sister Mildred Jean in December 2006, her brother-in-law John Didier in 2020.
