(Mary) Elaine Blake, 90, of Byron died Friday, January 27, 2023, at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center in Rockford.
Born June 23, 1932, in St. Paul, Minnesota, daughter of Robert and Lucille (McLane) O'Bryan. She married Donald R. Blake on November 21, 1952, in Belvidere.
Elaine enjoyed caring for her family, home, and garden, as well as sewing and needlework. She was an active church member and enjoyed teaching Sunday School for many years.
Survived by her daughter, Julie Accola of Delavan, WI, and daughter-in-law, Cathi Blake of Rockford; grandchildren Stuart (Lauren) Accola, Allison Blake, and Elizabeth (Dan) Meunier; great-grandchildren Parker and Ella Accola; sister, Judith Grimsley, and sister-in-law, Karen O'Bryan; many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her son, Jeffry Blake, and son-in-law, Steve Accola; brother, Robert O'Bryan, and sister, Margery Henderson.
Visitation at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, in the Chapel of Memories at Highland Garden of Memories, 9700 State Route 76, Belvidere. Funeral service at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories.
