Matthew "Matt" Whipple

Matthew "Matt" Whipple of Stillman Valley peacefully passed away early on Sunday January 23, 2022 surrounded by his wife Lisa, his son Zander, and his son's husband Anthony.  Matt was born on August 6, 1968 in Rockford Illinois.  He  graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1987,  he went to Rockford Career College and graduated with an Associate Degree.  Matt was in factory work and logistics for many years, until he retired in 2015. He was a Bears and Cubs fan, he had a passion for music of all kinds, a love affair that he shared with his wife, son, and friends.  He had a heart of gold, a sense of humor that was infectious, and had a fierce love for his family and close friends.  In 2014 Matthew met his wife Lisa, He swept her off her feet with a single red rose, and they were inseparable until the very end.

Matt leaves behined his loving wife Lisa, son Zander Herbert and his husband of Hoffman Estates, stepson William Bloyer of Rockford, Father in Law Robert Bloyer of Winnebago, faithful friend Lori Bates of Rockton, and his beloved puppy Daisy Mae.  Matt is predeceased by his parents Dann and Eileen Whipple, Mother in law Mary Bloyer and several aunts and uncles.

Due to Covid restrictions, no services are planned at this time.   A memorial service to celebrate Matt's life will be held at a later date.
