Michael R. Rickert

Michael "Mike" Rickert, aged 70, passed away on August 1, 2024, in Rockford, IL. Born on August 7, 1953, in Chicago, IL, Mike was known for his rugged exterior that belied a gentle, loving nature. His deep affection was most profoundly shown in his relationship with his wife, Pamela, whom he cherished so deeply that he married her twice.

Mike proudly served in the Army as a PV1, dedicating three years to his country. After his military service, he worked diligently as a tire technician, a career that showcased his hardworking and meticulous nature.

Beyond his professional life, Mike was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and could often be seen riding with a kind of freedom and joy that was infectious. His other pastimes included walking his dog, Max, cherishing moments with his grandchildren, following his favorite soap operas, and being a Facebook whore!

He leaves behind his loving wife, Pamela; children, Lenea (Joshua) Norris, Alex (Zachary) Quick, Benjamin (Krista) Lowery Sr., and Robert Lowery; along with his adored grandchildren, Shelby, Samantha, Brody, Bryar, Teagan, Zoie, Benjamin Jr., Lily, and Anna, who will miss his larger-than-life presence and boundless love.

At this time, no services are planned. Affordable Cremation and Funeral Service of Belvidere is assisting the family during this time. Mike's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and the many lives he touched.
