Myrtle Bell Wise passed peacefully on her 88th birthday, June 23, 2020 in her home in Belvidere, Illinois. She was born on June 23, 1932 in Chicago Illinois. Myrtle loved horses and worked with her father training standardbreds for racing while she was raising her two daughters Christine and Charlene in Woodstock, Illinois. She went on to work at ALP (Automatic Liquid Packaging) in Woodstock, Illinois until her retirement. She was a fan of John Wayne and local Chicago sports teams: Cubs, Bulls and Blackhawks. Myrtle enjoyed riding horses, watching movies, listening to music and spending time with family and friends, where she was always willing to share one of her many stories. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Anna Lamb, her brother Howard Lamb and daughter Charlene Wise. Myrtle is survived by her daughter Christine Samuelson, Son in Law Dale Samuelson, grandkids Kimberlee Hartwig-Schulman, Dustin Wise, Robert Hartwig II, Brittney Samuelson, and great grandkids Aliegha, Christopher and Raynen. She will be laid to rest on Monday June 29th, 2020 at McHenry County Memorial Park at 1pm. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
