Nicholas F. Giamarese

On January 10, 2025, Nicholas (Nick) Giamarese, 71, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Chicago in 1953 to his parents, Nicholas and Elizabeth (Betty) and has been caring for his mother ever since his father’s passing in 2010. He leaves behind two younger brothers, Frank (Martin) and Joseph.  He married his wife, Diane, in 1986. Nick took tremendous pride in his family. He was a loving father to his children, Billy (Teresa) Giamarese and Nicole (Brad) Pierson. He loved being a Papa to his grandchildren, Will (Yuli), Gianna, Grace and Ben. 

Over the past five months, Nick battled end stage renal disease with repeated hospitalizations. When the decision was made to come home under hospice care, his concerns were not for himself, rather; he worried for his mother, wife, children and grandchildren. All through his life and as he approached death, he was very protective of those he loved. 

Nick loved music, motorcycles, laughter, family, friends, and good food.

His favorite foods were Chicago style hotdogs, Italian Beef, Pizza, Gyros, and a good steak.  A celebration of life, including some of his favorite foods and music, will be held on Friday, January 17 at 3:00pm at Swanhills Golf Course.
