Ray F. Mickels Jr.

Ray F. Mickels Jr. of Sycamore Illinois passed to be with our Lord on June 19, 2022. 

He went peacefully leaving his wonderful wife Diane Mickels. Ray is also survived by his son, Donovan and wife Katie Mickels (Schaefer), sister Christina and husband Jay Fiala and brother Joel and wife Peggy Mickels, along with many nephews and nieces. As well as Ray’s family he is remembered by Diane’s children and grandchildren.

Ray operated and ran Splash Pools, a family-owned business, in Aurora, IL for several years. During this time Ray met and helped several customers maintain their pools and developed relationships that lasted more than 20 years. Ray was very appreciative of his loyal customers and always did his best to help them in any way he could. After Splash closed Ray continued his customer service with Aqua Pools performing pool maintenance for his customers.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Highland Garden of Memories located at: 9800 IL-76, Belvidere, IL 61008
