Rodney L. Benson

Rodney Lawrence Benson, 54, died February 5th at Northwoods Care Center in Belvidere.  Born Feb 25, 1966 in Stoughton, WI,  Rod graduated from Rockford East HS in 1984. He started RB Construction Inc. in 1992 and owned and operated the company successfully for many years.

Rod loved music, golf, a good meal, and the Green Bay Packers.  

He is survived by his parents, Richard and Valerie Benson, children, Ashley Golf, Jonathan (Sally) Benson, Taylor (Franco Pettinato) Benson and their mother Jennifer Scribner, grandchildren Gianna and Carman Golf, Baby-to-be Liam Benson, sister Jenn Benson (Jay Klotz), nephew Devon Pettit and uncle James Benson. 

Meeting Rod in heaven are his paternal grandparents, Harven and Dorothy Benson, grandmother Lillian Cave, and sister Crystal Benson. 

Celebration of Life Open House at Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club on Sunday February 21st from 12pm to 3pm.
