Ronald G. Schoon Sr., 79, of Belvidere passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 of natural causes. He was born on January 28, 1942, in Roanoke, Illinois, the son of Fredrick and Bernadine Nina (Kyle) Schoon.

He is survived by 4 children. Daughter, Rhonda Trulley of Rockford, and 3 sons, Michael Schoon, Ronald G. Schoon Jr. and Charles Schoon, all of Belvidere. Two grandchildren, Ryan Schoon and Reese Schoon, both of Belvidere. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and special friend, Colleen Williams of Rockford. Predeceased by his parents, Fredrick and Bernadine as well as 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Wilma Jean, Bernidean (Jo), Richard, Gerald, Clark, Arthur and John.
