Obituary

Ronald E. Thompson passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, at his home in Creston Illinois on Friday, February 26. He is remembered for his love of fishing, singing, his sense of humor and mostly, his love of family and friends. Ron gained his enjoyment for cooking while stationed in Fort Sill, OK while serving in the U. S. Army.  Ron is survived by his wife, Susan, his children, Christopher (Kimberly) Thompson, Todd (Andrea) Mason, Abigail (Daniel) Miley, James (Mandy) Mason, Stephanie (David) Thompson, Nicole (Jeremy) Hamilton, Misty (Bert) Thompson, Kalisa (Matthew) Thompson and Son-in-law, Eric Dinges, his Grandchildren, Brittany McMurray, Courtney Heinzman, Taylor (Dan) buckley, Thomas Thompson, Haley Thompson, Trista Thompson, Adriana Ellis, Michelle Ellis, Sara Jackson-Mason, Megan Guerra-Mason, William Mason, Xander Mason, Jaxson Mason, Xannon Mason, Spenser Miley, Coleton Miley, CJ Moses, Brianna Moses, Cody Brechon, Devin Moses, Caleb Moses, Odessa Dinges, Jackson Dinges, David Hamilton, Anastasia Hamilton, Gavyn Cowling, Neenah Cowling, Beatrice Cowling, seven great-grandchildren, his siblings and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Gertrude Thompson, grandchildren, Rebecca Miley, Arron Miley as well as 2 of his siblings. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lions Club, 408 South 5th St., Kirkland IL, on March 6 in honor of his birthday at 1:00 P.M.
